🇧🇷 Quem escreve é a Pam, amiga da família.  (English on the bottom)

Em setembro de 2024, a vida de uma família foi drasticamente alterada. O nosso querido Dr Gui Veronese, marido, pai, avô, provedor e um médico dedicado que salvou milhares de vidas diariamente como emergencionista na ambulância do SAMU, passou por uma cirurgia que resultou em um choque séptico. Esse evento o deixou hospitalizado por dois meses, com várias idas à UTI. Durante esse período, ele perdeu 30 quilos e precisou reaprender a caminhar, falar e deglutir.

Após receber alta, ele enfrentou complicações que exigiram várias internações no hospital. Em janeiro de 2025, a situação se agravou com o diagnóstico de metástase, levando ao início de um tratamento oncológico. Ele permanece hospitalizado desde 11 de março.

Atualmente, ele é o único provedor da família e está impossibilitado de trabalhar desde setembro de 2024. A esposa, nossa querida Bianca, que cuida dele durante esse momento difícil, está enfrentando desafios imensos para garantir o sustento da família e buscar opções que possam suprir essa lacuna.

Estamos pedindo a sua ajuda. Qualquer contribuição será muito apreciada e fará uma grande diferença na vida dessa família que está lutando com todas as suas forças para superar essa fase desafiadora.

🇺🇸 This is Pam who's writing, I'm a friend of the family.

In September 2024, a family's life was drastically changed. Our beloved Dr. Gui Veronese, husband, father, grandfather, provider and a dedicated physician who saved thousands of lives every day as an emergency medical doctor in the SAMU ambulance (Public Health System In Brazil), underwent surgery that resulted in septic shock. This event left him hospitalized for two months, with several trips to the ICU. During this time, he lost 70lbs and had to relearn how to walk, talk and swallow.

After being discharged, he faced complications that required several hospitalizations. In January 2025, the situation worsened with the diagnosis of metastasis, leading to the start of oncological treatment. He has been hospitalized since March 11th.

He is currently the sole provider for his family and has been unable to work since September 2024. His wife, our dear Bianca, who is taking care of him during this difficult time, is facing immense challenges to ensure the family's livelihood and seek options that can fill this gap.

We are asking for your help. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated and will make a huge difference in the life of this family who are fighting with all their strength to overcome this challenging phase.
