I’m Tiago — an independent artist, singer-songwriter, and a physician with 14 years of practice. For years I coordinated a network of clinics across Brazil. Living with neurodivergence (twice-exceptional ADHD + high abilities), I pushed past every limit until my body and mind stopped cooperating. What followed was burnout, anxiety, and panic at the thought of returning to that environment.
Stepping away felt like failure at first, but it opened a path back to life. Music — writing and singing, which have been part of me since childhood — became my way through. It grounded me, helped me seek professional care, and lifted the depression and anxiety that work had intensified. I’m recovering and scheduled to start a new job in the coming months.
Then everything I was using to stay well and create was lost. A plumbing failure in my apartment caused wall infiltration, and an electrical short burned out my equipment: my computer, studio monitors, speakers — the basic setup I used to compose, record, and stabilize my mental health day-to-day. My savings are gone, and with them, the tools of my recovery.
I’m asking for help to replace essential equipment so I can keep creating, stay balanced, and bridge this period until I’m back at work.
What the funds will cover
Why this mattersMusic is not a hobby for me right now; it’s part of my treatment and my livelihood. Rebuilding this minimal setup will help me maintain my recovery, continue writing and recording, and arrive strong and focused in my next job.
If you can contribute, thank you. If you can’t, sharing this page already helps a lot. Your support keeps me from sliding back into the burnout that almost ended everything — and it invests in the work I’m ready to offer again, with clarity and dignity.
