PROJETO DE ESTUDANTES BRASILEIROS EM COMPETIÇÃO MUNDIAL

Durante anos nossa equipe se dedicou para conseguir a classificação na maior competição do mundo de desenvolvimento de foguetes e satélites, a Spaceport America Cup. Algumas das maiores e mais importantes universidades do mundo estão representadas neste evento, como MIT, Harvard, Yale, etc. 

Nessa competição estudantes do mundo todo são desafiados a construírem os melhores projetos de engenharia no que diz respeito a foguetes e satélites. O evento é promovido por gigantes do setor aeroespacial como NASA, SpaceX, Blue Origin e Virgin Galactic. 

Infelizmente, por diversos motivos, não conseguimos ir em todas as vezes que nosso projeto conquistou a classificação. Durante a pandemia, participamos virtualmente da edição 2021 e superamos universidades de renome como Yale e Purdue University. 

Essa conquista da classificação veio após um período conturbado de reestruturação: durante a pandemia perdemos muitos membros e reconstruímos quase que inteiramente o corpo integrante da equipe, sua cultura e o conhecimento para alcançar a expertise necessária para competirmos no mesmo nível que as melhores universidades do mundo.

EN: Throughout the years our team has been dedicated to qualify for the biggest development of rockets and satellites competition on the world, the Spaceport America Cup. Some of the best and greatest universities in the world are participating in this event, such as MIT, Harvard and Yale.

In this competition, students of the whole world are challenged to build the best engineering projects when it comes to rockets and satellites. The event is promoted by the greatest companies in the aerospace sector, such as NASA, Space C, Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic.

Unfortunately, for several reasons, all of the times we conquered our spot in the event, we weren’t able to make it. During the pandemic, we enrolled in the competition virtually and managed to outcome highly regarded schools like Yale and Purdue University.

The conquest of qualifying for this year’s edition came after a hard time of restructuring: during the COVID-19 pandemic we lost several members and reconstructed almost entirely our team and groups members, our culture and the knowledge required to acquire the expertise that we needed to compete in the same level as the greatest universities in the world.
