O meu pedido PARA VOCÊS é a oportunidade!

IBEA – International Business Education Alliance

English:

Hello,

My name is Gabriella Amaral and because of my personal and family history, it has been my dream since childhood to help people and contribute to society in the matter of drug addiction. I’m a Management undergraduate student, on a social grant at Fundação Getulio Vargas, where I have been thinking about creating a model for a sustainable and innovative social enterprise aimed at the care and reinsertion into society of drug addicts, similar to models already successful in other countries.

From an early age, I have understood that in order to improve my family's life, fulfill my dreams, and, in the future, to be able to help others in a similar situation, I would need to make use of the resources that were within my reach: my sheer will and dedication to studies.

Thanks to hard work, perseverance and a desire to achieve a higher purpose, I was admitted into the best business school in Rio de Janeiro, with total tuition exemption, and, through great dedication, I am currently placed among the 10 top-performing students in the School!

I have always looked at difficulties as opportunities for growth and learning. This is how I faced the beginning of a new challenge. In the Bachelor’ Degree in Business program, International exchange is mandatory in the fifth semester, and I chose to apply for a premium exchange program: the International Business Education Alliance (IBEA). Running over a period of 3 semesters on different continentes, this program - I believe - would provide me with experience that would be key for me to develop my social enterprise project.

The selection process for this program was not easy, but now I am very close to fulfilling my dream of participating in IBEA. This program would allow me access to leading professors, organizations, as well as cutting-edge information and experience in the area of social enterprise in Europe, the United States and Asia, which would underpin the business model I want to develop when I graduate.

I am sure that this program would enable me to gain useful knowledge, build a network of contacts and acquire experience vital for the development of a social enterprise – the rehabilitation and reinsertion of drug addicts into society.

All I ask is that you give me this opportunity! It requires the financial resources that can help me dedicate myself fully to the program so that I can then give back, creating opportunities for those who need them most.

IBEA

FGV-EBAPE together with the University of Mannheim Business School (Germany), the University of South Carolina- Darla Moore School (United States) and the ESSEC Business School (Singapore Campus) have formed a collaborative network to create an exchange program, at undergraduate level, entitled the International Business Education Alliance- IBEA.

IBEA's goal is to educate and train students to become global citizens and it is expected that students, at the end of the program, will have acquired greater cultural sensitivity and be able to understand the differences in management studies and practies in other cultures and environments. During the exchange, students will have the oportunity to study each semester not only in a different country, but on a different continent, being exposed to each region's unique learning experiences.

The program starts in Germany, then continues in the United States followed by Singapore and the final semester is at FGV-EBAPE, in Brazil. I would have the oportunity to do a consulting project with a company in each of these countries, which would be invaluable to me.
