Sarah Kpoh's experience during her childhood living in a community without electricity has made her do further research within the Nkwanta South Municipality. She found out that students in communities within the municipality that have electricity tend to do better than those students in rural underserved areas. about 35 areas or villages in the municipality lack access to electricity and about 28 of these villages have schools for school-going age students from kindergarten all the way to Junior high level. This problem of no electricity adversely affects these students taking their studies into consideration. Most of these students cannot do any personal studies on their own after school due to the unavailability of lights. This affects the quality of education they get which always reflects in their performances when results from the Basic Education Certificates Examination come out. This issue if something is not done about it.
So, the organization will provide solar lamps to students in off-off-grid communities within the Municipality for their studies at home, will provide some solar lamps to the teachers to help them prepare the lesson notes after school and 30 solar panels in 30 junior high schools in off-grid communities.
Also, in the future, the organization will provide solar lights that are big enough to be stationed at a vantage point for rural folks and entire villages or communities.
