Help me go to Georgetown University!

My name is Eduardo, I'm a 17-year-old Brazilian that applied to Georgetown by myself, and got accepted under the Early Action program!

I always had a taste for the international, experiencing and living new cultures that challenged me to face difficult situations and improve, to get out of my comfort zone, be it ordering coffee at a coffee shop or presenting arguments and debating my position for over 300 people at Harvard MUN with another language.

And being accepted at Georgetown, one of the most prestigious universities in the USA, ranked 22° out of 443 by US News, as a regular Brazilian student, that didn't go to International High Schools, nor did I grow up with a family that had ties abroad, is a life-changing achievement that is the result of my dedication and focus, the only student in my entire school to study overseas!

However, Georgetown's current cost of attendance of US$90.000 is well above my means, and even dedicating most of our family income, savings, and taking student loans towards GU, we can only cover US$60.000 yearly. With this, I kindly come to you to ask for help.

Any amount you could donate would be extremely helpful in turning this dream into a reality. I understand the personal situation of each one, and no one is under the obligation to help, but if you can, and identify with my situation or would like to help a student enter his dream university, any amount would be very appreciated!

But having a Georgetown education is not for nothing. Brazil, and LatAm as a whole, have a major financing and financial education problem, one that affected my family in the past, leading to my grandfather's bankruptcy, and with my GU education, I aim to become a finance entrepreneur in Brazil and LatAm, promoting financial education and connecting the country with opportunities in the USA.

Regarding my application at GU itself, I was accepted to the class of 2027 at the McDonough School of Business, where I'm looking forward to a major in Finance and a minor in International Relations, utilizing the great education and connection at Georgetown to boost business and relationships with LatAm.
