Esperamos que todos se encontrem bem e com saúde.

Estamos aqui à pedido do nosso pajé Txana Ixã Huni Kuin. Alguns dias atrás ele entrou em contato conosco e, pela primeira vez, pediu-nos apoio financeiro desde o início da pandemia.

Chamou-nos muita atenção que , em meio a todo essa caos, o pajé tenha nos ligado, não para falar sobre coisas tristes, mas para falar sobre o futuro dos projetos da aldeia. Na realidade, ele nos pediu apoio financeiro para manutenção do Espaço Sagrado (santuário da aldeia) e para o plantio das medicinas da floresta.

Foi algo muito forte para nós, ver que o pajé está olhando para o futuro e querendo garantir que nós todos, índios e brancos, possamos continuar tendo um acesso estruturado a esse patrimônio da humanidade que é a floresta e a cultura espiritual do povo Huni Kuin.

É nesse espírito de proteção e também pensando no futuro que decidimos que, além de cuidar do que o pajé pediu, iremos aproveitar a oportunidade para também arrecadar um fundo de proteção para Aldeia Ni Yuxibu em caso de emergências e necessidades decorrentes da atual pandemia de covid-19. 

Após o fim da pandemia, o que sobrar desse fundo emergencial será reinvestido no novo projeto da casa dedicada à produção das medicinas da floresta, que estaria em pauta nesse ano se não fosse por toda essa situação. O mesmo vale se conseguimos superar nossa meta.

Esse recurso ficará disponível para os txais, a partir de uma articulação que temos no vilarejo do Jordão ("cidade " mais próxima da terra indígena) e poderá ser usado em benefício dessa aldeia durante todo o período em que a doença estiver circulando e representando risco à comunidade. 

Atualmente já temos um grande irmão que está lá na aldeia na linha de frente desse trabalho de proteção aos txais. Ele embarcou recentemente, com todas as devidas autorizações legais, em uma jornada heroica com mais de 150kg de materiais de apoio a Aldeia Ni Yuxibu, incluindo quase 3000 máscaras, equipamentos de comunicação, ferramentas, etc. 

Estamos muito felizes com toda a integração e harmonia que tornou possível esse movimento para cuidarmos da nossa família Ni Yuxibu.

Descrição do destino dos recursos arrecadados:

1) Manutenção estrutural da aldeia e do santuário Espaço Sagrado - R$5000,00

2) Fundo emergencial para proteção da aldeia e dos seus habitantes durante o período da pandemia - R$5000,00

3) Plantio e manutenção do parque das plantas sagradas - R$1500,00

4) Apoio logístico referente ao envio de equipamentos voltados a prevenção e melhor articulação da aldeia durante a pandemia - R$500,00

Greetings dear community!

I hope everyone is well and healthy.

We are here by the request of our shaman Txana Ixã Huni Kuin. A few days ago he contacted us from a small city near the forest and, for the first time, he asked for financial support since the beginning of the pandemic.

It caught our attention that, in the midst of all this chaos, the shaman did not call to talk about sad things, but to talk about the future of the village’s projects. In fact, he asked us for financial support for maintaining the Sacred Space (village sanctuary) and for planting the medicines of the forest.

It was something very touching for us, seeing that the shaman is looking to the future and wanting to ensure that all of us, indigenous or not, will continue to have structured access to this wonder of humanity that is the forest and the spiritual culture of the Huni Kuin people.

It is in this spirit of protection, and also thinking about the future, that we’ve decided to, in addition to the shaman’s calling, take the opportunity also to raise a protection fund for Ni Yuxibu Village in case of emergencies and needs arising from the current covid-19 pandemic.

After the end of the pandemic, whatever remains of this emergency fund will be reinvested in the new project for a house dedicated to the production of medicines from the forest, which would be on the agenda this year in a normal scenario. And it’ll be the same plan as well, in case of we exceed our goal.

This resource will be easily available to the txais (indigenous), with some friends we have in the village of Jordão ("city" closest to the indigenous land) and will be used for the benefit of this village during the whole period in which the disease is circulating and representing a risk the for the community and it’s members.

Despite of that local friends in Jordan village, we’ve already a great brother who is there in the village at the forefront of this work to protect the Txais. He recently embarked, with all due legal authorization, on a heroic journey with more than 150kg of support materials to the Ni Yuxibu Village, including almost 3000 protection masks, communication equipment, tools, etc.

We are very happy with all the integration and harmony that made this movement possible to take care of our Ni Yuxibu family. We’re so grateful for your love and support.

1) Structural maintenance of the village and sanctuary Espaço Sagrado - R$ 5000.00 – aprox. U$1000

2) Emergency fund to protect the village and its inhabitants during the pandemic period – R$5000.00 - aprox. U$1000

3) Planting and maintaining the park of sacred plants – R$1500.00 - aprox. U$300

4) Logistical support regarding the sending of equipment aimed at prevention and better articulation of the village during the pandemic – R$500.00 – aprox. U$100
