Olá,
Sou o Josué, também chamado de Josh.
Sou pesquisador de Roraima, extremo norte do Brasil, na Amazônia Setentrional Brasileira, e atualmente faço doutorado em Educação na Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto, Universidade de São Paulo (FFCLRP/USP).
Tenho um Mestrado em Segurança Pública, Direitos Humanos e Cidadania pela Universidade Estadual de Roraima (UERR) e uma especialização (lato sensu) em Filosofia da Religião pela mesma instituição.
No mestrado desenvolvi o diretório institucional “Povos Indigenas de Roraima” (Fonte: https://povosindigenasrr.uerr.edu.br/) que teve por objetivo fornecer informações como organização social e considerações lingúisticas sobre etnias indígenas de/em Roraima. Também desenvolvi a dissertação “Entre Idas e Vindas: Os Processos de Aprendizagem de Crianças Indígenas Venezuelanas Warao Refugiadas e Migrantes em Roraima, na Amazônia”, que será publicado em 2025 em forma de livro pela Editora da UERR.
Apresentei em 2022, com bolsa da American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese (AOTP), um desdobramento dessa pesquisa no XI Encontro Mundial do Ensino de Português (XI EMEP), na Universidade de Harvard (EUA).
Estou indo para a Califórnia realizar um estágio de pesquisa conhecido no Brasil como “Doutorado Sanduíche”, especificamente na Universidade de Stanford, na condição de ‘Visiting Student Researcher' (Pesquisador Estudante Visitante) parte de aprofundar meus estudos com essa imersão internacional. Minha pesquisa pretende estudar a migração de latinos à América, e dialoga com minha pesquisa no Brasil, que é compreender o que significa ser um migrante e refugiado venezuelano vivendo em grandes abrigos humanitários na Amazônia.
30 dias após minha chegada nos Estados Unidos receberei uma bolsa que me ajudará com os custos de moradia, alimentação e gastos extras. No entanto, nessa chegada, prevista para o dia 29/09/2025, ainda preciso de recursos que me ajude na chegada e manutenção inicial. Desse modo, esse pedido se justifica importante e fundamental.
A Universidade de Stanford ocupa a 6ª posição no ranking mundial de 2025 da Times Higher Education (THE), sendo considerada um centro de excelência internacional (Fonte: https://www.timeshighereducation.com/).
Sou pesquisador de alto impacto em inúmeros periódicos acadêmicos nacionais e internacionais, em jornais, revistas, capítulos de livro e participações nacionais e internacionais em diversos eventos interdisciplinares. Peço essa ajuda no sentido de continuar produzindo conhecimento e ciência em prol dos estudos sobre o estado de Roraima, sobre a Amazônia, sobre o Brasil e a América Latina, no contexto das migrações internacionais e da educação de/em comunidades vulneráveis.

Hello,
I'm Josué, also known as Josh.
I'm a researcher from Roraima, in the Brazilian Northern Amazon, and I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Education at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FFCLRP/USP).
I have a Master of Art's degree in Public Security, Human Rights and Citizenship from the State University of Roraima (UERR) and a specialization (lato sensu) in Philosophy of Religion from the same institution.
During my master's degree, I developed the institutional directory "Indigenous Peoples of Roraima" (Source: https://povosindigenasrr.uerr.edu.br/), which aimed to provide information on the social organization and linguistic considerations of indigenous ethnic groups in Roraima. I also developed the dissertation "Between Comings and Goings: The Learning Processes of Venezuelan Warao Indigenous Refugee and Migrant Children in Roraima, in the Amazon," which will be published as a book by UERR Publishing in 2025.
In 2022, with a grant from the American Organization of Teacher of Portuguese (AOTP), I presented a development of this research at the 11th World Meeting on Portuguese Language Teaching (XI EMEP) at Harvard University (USA).
From October-December 2025, I'm going to California as 'Visiting Student Researcher' to conduct a internship known in Brazil as "Doctorate Sandwich," specifically at Stanford University, as part of my international immersion. My research aims to study Latino migration to the Americas and connects with my research in Brazil, which is to understand what it means to be a Venezuelan migrant and refugee living in large humanitarian shelters in the Amazon.
30 days after my arrival in the United States, I will receive a scholarship that will help me with housing, food, and daily expenses. However, upon arrival, scheduled for September 29, 2025, I still need resources to help me with my arrival and initial maintenance. Therefore, this request is important and fundamental.
