Oi pessoal! A Valen foi encontrada atropelada no dia 20 de dezembro de 2024, com a vida condenada. Ela tinha dono, pois era gordinha, castrada e idosa, mas nós procuramos e nunca encontramos sua família. Ela ficou sob os cuidados do projeto @aliancacats. Valentina teve diversas fraturas no rosto e mandíbula, contusão pulmonar, eventração, fratura em pelve, cegueira aguda por traumatismo craniano. Precisou passar por várias cirurgias, incluindo colocação de fixador externo na mandíbula. Também precisou colocar tubo esofágico para a alimentação dela, já que ela não poderia mexer a boca por um tempo, até cicatrizar as fraturas. Ela teve infecção resistente, foi bem difícil controlar a infecção dela. Mas ela foi forte, e aguentou tudo. Depois de 2 meses com sonda, ela conseguiu começar a se alimentar sozinha. Reaprendeu a miar, a usar caixa de areia, se lamber. Também se adaptou a cegueira. Desenvolveu olho seco e glaucoma em um dos olhos, por conta da lesão em nervo no acidente, por isso, continuamos tratando seu olho e talvez precise de mais uma cirurgia. A conta na veterinária dela é altíssima. Passou mais de 10 dias internada, passou por 4 cirurgias, raio x, exames de sangue, teste de fiv e felv, muitos recoverys, enfim… por isso abri a vaquinha, para que possamos quitar as dívidas dela e continuar cuidando da Valen da melhor forma possível, pois ela realmente quer muito viver.

She had to undergo several surgeries, including the placement of an external fixator on her jaw. They also had to have an esophageal tube inserted for her to feed her, since she could not move her mouth for a while, until the fractures healed. She had a resistant infection, it was very difficult to control her infection. But she was strong and endured everything. After 2 months with a tube, she was able to start feeding herself. She relearned how to meow, use the litter box, and lick herself. She also adapted to being blind. She developed dry eye and glaucoma in one of her eyes, due to the nerve damage in the accident, so we continue to treat her eye and she may need another surgery. Her vet bill is very high. She spent more than 10 days in the hospital, underwent 4 surgeries, x-rays, blood tests, FIV and Felv tests, many recovery sessions, etc. That's why I started the fundraiser, so we can pay off her debts and continue to take care of Valen in the best way possible, because she really wants to live.
