Nos auge dos seus 50 anos Solange teve alguns sintomas como dores ósseas, principalmente na coluna, cansado extremo, fraqueza, dormência nas pernas entre outros. A mesma foi levada a vários hospitais mas nem os médicos conseguiam identificar o problema, cada médico dava um diagnóstico diferente, pois a doença que ela tem ela é muito difícil de ser identificada. Decidimos ir ao hospital do Ermelino Matarazzo e lá finalmente encontraram o problema, nesse ponto ela já estava impossibilitada de andar, ela passou por uma cirurgia no mesmo dia que chegou ao hospital, tudo às pressas, um procedimento chamado Laminectomia para a remoção de um tumor, o tumor estava pressionando e lesionando a medula espinhal. Após a cirurgia fizeram a biópsia do tumor para ver do que se tratava, após alguns dias internada ela foi diagnosticada com Mieloma Múltiplo, resumindo: o Mieloma múltiplo é um câncer de ossos maligno (ou seja não tem cura) que tem início na medula, e poder se espalhar por outros ossos.Ela ficou um mês internada, esse foi um mês muito difícil. A família toda estava em choque pela situação, e ela devastada; afinal a Solange sempre foi uma mulher saudável, forte, inclusive gostaria de enaltecê-la por ter sido extremamente forte, criado 8 filhos sozinha e ser muito trabalhadora. Após esse mês internada, voltou para casa e começou o tratamento para o câncer, na santa casa de São Paulo junto ao Dr. Arnaldo também em SP.  Passou por 15 sessões de radioterapia, CTD por 7 meses (CTD é uma combinação de drogas de quimioterapia, imunoterapia e esteroide para o tratamento do mieloma), e 2 anos de Talidomida que é um remédio de imunoterapia.Após o tratamento e depois de alguns anos em remissão, ou seja por um tempo a doença estava sob controle, agora em 2023 as células tumorais voltaram a ser produzidas e ela esta com suspeita de recidiva da doença, os exames e estudos dos médicos mostraram evidências, mas para um diagnóstico mais preciso está sendo realizado mais exames. Ela se locomovia por cadeira de rodas pelos primeiros 2 anos, os médicos diziam que ela nunca voltaria a andar e com muito esforço e força de vontade sozinha até que conseguiu usar muletas. Porém devido lesões causada pelo câncer, ela não consegue ficar em pé pois não sente as pernas para usar as muletas e está na cadeira de rodas novamente, e para melhorar suas condições de locomoção gostaríamos da ajuda de vocês para comprarmos uma cadeira de rodas motorizada, especialmente porque ela irá fazer novos tratamentos. Com a cadeira motorizada ela precisará de menos esforço para de mover, consequentemente menos dor, e também acreditamos que fará ela se sentir mais independente sem precisar de alguém para  empurrar a cadeira para ela o tempo todo.  Obrigada a todos, Deus te abencoe.

At the age of 50 Solange had some symptoms such as bone pain, especially in the spine, extreme tiredness, weakness, and numbness in the legs, among others. She was taken to several hospitals but not even the doctors could identify the problem, each doctor gave a different diagnosis, because the disease she has is very difficult to identify.  We decided to go to Ermelino Matarazzo's hospital and there they finally found the problem, at that point, she was already unable to walk, she underwent surgery the same day she arrived at the hospital, everything in a hurry, a procedure called Laminectomy to remove a tumor, the tumor was pressing on and injuring the spinal cord.  After the surgery they did a biopsy of the tumor to see what it was, after a few days in the hospital she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, in short: Multiple Myeloma is a malignant bone cancer (that is, there is no cure) that begins in the medulla, and can spread to other bones.She was hospitalized for 1 month, this was a very difficult month. The whole family was in shock over the situation, and she was devastated; after all, Solange has always been a healthy, strong woman, I would even like to praise her for being extremely strong, raising 8 children alone, and very hardworking.  After this month in the hospital, she returned home and began treatment for cancer, at Santa Casa in São Paulo and Dr Arnaldo also in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  She underwent 15 sessions of radiotherapy, CTD for 7 months (CTD is a combination of chemotherapy drugs, immunotherapy, and steroid for the treatment of myeloma), and 2 years of Thalidomide, an immunotherapy drug.After the treatment and after a few years in remission, that is for a while the disease was under control, now in 2023 the tumor cells are being produced again and she is suspected of relapse of the disease, the exams and studies of the doctors have shown evidence, but more tests are being carried out for a more accurate diagnosis. She got around by wheelchair for the first 2 years, the doctors said she would never walk again, but, with a lot of effort and willpower on her own until she was able to use crutches. But due to injuries caused by cancer, she can't stand up because she can't feel her legs to use crutches and she's in a wheelchair again, and to improve her locomotion conditions we would like your help to buy a motorized wheelchair, especially as she will be having new treatments.  With the motorized chair she will need less effort to move, therefore less pain, and we also believe it will make her feel more independent without needing someone to push the chair for her all the time.Thank you so much, God bless you all.
