Como alguns já devem saber, no final do ano passado nosso querido amigo largou tudo no Brasil e foi para o Canadá cuidar de seu pai - Adam W - em tempo integral, em função de um câncer terminal.

Após um longo período de tratamentos, intervenções cirúrgicas e outros procedimentos - sem sucesso -, sabemos que o grande desejo do John e de seu pai é poder fazer uma última viagem juntos para Israel e poder retornar à Polônia, para que passem os últimos dias por lá. No entanto, como o John não está trabalhando e as despesas só se acumulam, ele não tem condições para custear a viagem.

Não foi ideia do John fazer essa Vakinha e ele nem sabe a respeito, mas acreditamos que ele tenha impactado positivamente a vida de muitas pessoas e, por isso, nossa ideia de tentar retribuir. Finalmente, esperamos que essa situação sensibilize os amigos e mobilize uma grande onda de colaboração e divulgação, para que, assim, sejamos capazes de ajudar o John e sua família.

Obs.1: Iniciamos esta vakinha pensando num valor mínimo para viagem num voo regular, mas mudamos de ideia após alguns questionamentos sobre as reais necessidades e o valor efetivo de tal viagem. A verdade é que fica muito difícil determinar um valor final, uma vez que as condições clínicas serão decisivas na definição das necessidades e meios de transporte. Assim, estabelecemos a meta de R$30.000 (valor próximo de $10,000 dólares), pois levamos em conta a saúde, a segurança médica e o minímo de conforto para o transporte. A ideia é superar a meta e apoiar ao máximo a concretização do desejo do pai do John que é visitar Israel e ser enterrado na Polônia.

Dear friends of João Matias (Maciej John W.),

As some may already know, at the end of last year our dear friend dropped everything in Brazil and went to Canada to take care of his father - Adam W - full time, because of his father's terminal cancer.

After a long period of treatments, surgical procedures and other procedures - without success - we know that the great desire of John and his father is to be able to make a last trip together to Israel, and to be able to return to Poland, so that they spend his last days over there. However, since John is not working and the expenses are only increasing, he is not able to afford the trip.

It was not John's idea to do this "crowd funding", and he does not even know about it, but we believe that he has positively impacted the lives of many people and, therefore, our idea is to try to give back. Finally, we hope that this situation sensitizes friends and mobilizes a great wave of collaboration and publicity, so that we are able to help John and his family.

PS1: We started this small crowd funding thinking about a minimum sum for a trip on a regular flight, but we changed our minds after some questioning about the real needs and the effective value of such a trip. The truth is that it is very difficult to determine a final value, since the clinical conditions will be decisive when defining needs and means of transport. Thus, we set the goal of R $ 30,000 (value close to $ 10,000 dollars), because we are taking into account health, medical safety and minimum comfort for transportation. The idea is to surpass the goal and to support as much as possible the fulfillment of John's father's wish, which is to visit Israel and be buried in Poland.
